About me

Sophie Faye Butterworth, from Pendle, is currently completing her final year of training at The Wilkes Academy of Performing Arts. Before joining Wilkes, she trained at Sandersons Dance alongside the Lynn McCheyne Ballet Company and Olivia Higham Company, where she developed a strong technical foundation across multiple dance styles.

A versatile triple threat performer, Sophie has had the opportunity to work with renowned choreographers including James Bennet, Ryan-Lee Seager, Tina Smallwood-Piotroski, Leanne Pinder, Lauren Stroud and many more. Frequently stepping into the role of Dance Captain, she thrives in leadership and collaborative environments and aspires to continue this in her future career.

Sophie has achieved Advanced RAD and ISTD Ballet examinations, alongside high-level qualifications in other dance genres, and has already begun working towards her teaching certifications. She holds specialist skills in Latin and Ballroom and plans to expand her expertise further by undertaking a Reformer Pilates qualification and building Ariel Skills.
